I had the privilege of collaborating with Tim, the head data analysis expert at Cheltenham Football Club, to create the Target Analysis website. This project allowed us to combine our expertise and passion for data visualisation. Using a combination of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and the powerful D3 library, we developed a dynamic website that pulled real-time data from match games and presented it in visually appealing and interactive graphs. Our primary goal was to provide comprehensive insights and analysis for the team's performance. Through careful data collection and processing, we were able to extract valuable information and present it in a user-friendly manner. The website featured live updates, allowing users to track the progress of matches and view key performance indicators. One of the standout features of the website was the utilisation of D3, a JavaScript library known for its data-driven approach to creating visualisations. With D3's extensive capabilities, we crafted engaging and interactive graphs, such as line charts, bar graphs, and scatter plots, to showcase various aspects of the team's performance metrics. Despite the unfortunate closure of the project, I am proud of the work we accomplished on the Target Analysis website. The attached screenshot provides a glimpse into the captivating data visualisations and the meticulous attention to detail we dedicated to this project, demonstrating the potential of data analysis in the world of football.
